Hooked

These are pictures from my first year of Industrial Design studies at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts, and Design in Stockholm, Sweden. 🙂 This was the introduction to the metal workshop that I have yet to revisit. Covid came in the way and since I am one of the careful people I was not in the workshops during last year (other than my own), but now that we are getting vaccinated it is finally changing and I dare to go to school again. Though I am the only one wearing a mask.

Making a hook. First, you flatten the sides, then the point.

When I was a kid I went to a craft course during one summer. I cannot remember when or where but I remember doing this exact thing. I have that hook that I made at age 11 somewhere in my many boxes.

Making the bend.

I still have to make the hole to put the screw into to attach the hook to a wall. But I can solve that myself in my own workshop. 🙂
