I made a lazy version of Not Another Cooking Show’s beautiful, green grilled cheese sandwich. Watch his video for the recipe. 🙂 Down below is my lazy version of it. 😉
Ingredients
- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- mayonese
- greeen sauce with cilantro and lime
- cheese
- a few slices of bacon, oven baked and then chopped up
- 1 avocado
I bought a pre-made, vegan version of the green sauce and used non-dairy cheese to better suit me.
Directions simplified
Put the oven on 200°C. Layout the bacon strips one or two centimeters apart. You want them fried and not boiled in their own fat.
Spread mayonnaise on both sides of each slice of the bread. Grate the cheese and add to each bread slice.
Take the bacon out of the oven, let them cool on a cutting board to prevent further cooking. Cut up in small pieces. Add on top of the cheese on one or both the bread slices. 🙂
Cut up the avocado and add on top of one of the bread slices. Add the green sauce to both bread slices. Fold the bread together (a skill to be mastered).
Fry on medium heat to let the cheese melt and bread toast.
I used a sandwich grill, which is why I also chose to add mayonnaise from the start.
