Buckwheat Porridge with Turmeric

Ingredients for oven roasted apple

  • 1 apple, chopped up
  • A dash of cinnamon
  • Coconut oil

Ingredients for porridge

  • 2 dl water
  • 1 dl buckwheat flakes
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • A dash of turmeric
  • A pinch of salt
  • Shredded coconut
  • A handful of dried cranberries

Directions

Clean and cut the apple into small pieces. Coat it with cinnamon. In an ovenproof dish, spread out the coconut oil and add in the apple pieces. Put in the middle of the oven at 200°C until the apple pieces are soft. It should take around 20 min.

In a saucepan, add the water and buckwheat flakes, flax seeds, turmeric and salt. Cook at medium heat until the porridge is smooth.

Pour the porridge into a bowl, add the apple, shredded coconut flakes and cranberries. 🙂
